Freshers Week 2010
With demand already very high for this years freshers week we would ask that any promoters, universities, unions and JCRs that are thinking of booking events services with us confirm in the next couple of weeks.
What We've Been Up To
We've had a very busy month here at Viable Events - The Student Event Specialists. We've hired our Camaro hot tubs for a 16th Birthday Party in Oxford, a hen party in Dulwich - London, a house party in Cardiff and for a football party in Bristol.
We've provided a complete events solution including lighting, sound, marquee, two hot tubs and a bouncy castle for a private event in Reading.
Our biggest event of the month was for the Churchill Halls at Bristol University to which we provided complete technical production for both the day and evenings events. During the day we set up an outdoor stage for a steel band, bouncy castle, bungee run, two hot tubs and provided power distribution around the site for our equipment, the Pimms tent and the catering company.
Our set up for the evenings event consisted of a complete set of black out drapes around the room, powerful PA system, DJ equipment and a first class lighting rig.
We've also hired out numerous PA systems to private clients for use at garden, house and birthday parties.
Busy Week
It has been a very busy week for us starting with a netball formal on Thursday night where we provided a sound system and a projector to show off pictures from throughout the year. We then had an 18th birthday party for which we provided a top DJ, impressive light show, sound system, and even Irish Dancers. Next we travelled up to Reading University to provide a complete events solution including lighting, sound and drapery for one of their JCRs final event with a super hero theme. Finally we finished the week by working directly with a group of students at their home providing a marquee, hot tub, lighting, sound and a top DJ.

We are now offering various club effects including Foam Cannons, Co2 Parties, UV Bubbles, Hot Tubs, Popcorn Parties, Shower Cubicles and Poles for pole dancing. Visit our club effects page for more information

New nights available for freshers week 2010
- VIP Night - After extensive research visiting some of London's most prestigious and exclusive clubs in Mayfair (it was tough but somehow we got through it) we feel we can offer your freshers the look and feel of these clubs at student prices. Watch our belly dancers or live percussionist jam along with our top DJ. Grab a VIP table and order champagne or a bottle of vodka which is delivered to your table with sparkers. So what are you waiting for put on your sexiest outfit and hit our red carpet for the best VIP experience of your life.
Deal or No Deal Live - This is a our newest night for freshers week 2010. People are selected at random to join Viable Events Noel on stage. They are then offered a prize or the choice to switch their prize for one of the mystery boxes which could contain an even better prize or a booby prize. Prizes can be anything you like from TV's and bar tabs to free drinks with our booby prizes including Chilli Shots, Viable Events stickers and underwear.
Student House Parties
We have recently teamed up with an excellent highly recommended company which we will be referring some of our clients to called Student House Parties or SHP. Student House parties is a company that dry hires (without an operator) professional sound & lighting, PA systems, hot tubs, big screen projectors and other house party essentials to university and college students in the South of England including Bath, Brighton, Bristol, Exeter, Oxford and Reading. Events Solutions Page
We are currently very busy so consequently work on the website is slow. However we are working on a complete events solutions page showing solutions for summer balls, school proms, college balls, school events, university parties and other student events.
Happy New Year
Last night Viable Events saw in the New Year at various events across the country including London, Reading, Nottingham and Somerset.

Case Studies
More work is being done on the site today so please bear with us. We are currently working on a "case studies" section. With our first entries including the University of Reading JCR freshers week, a student halloween party, a private birthday party and a New Years Eve Event. These will include a brief description of the event, pictures and client testimonies. As we progress into the summer we hope to add 'case studies' of some of our bigger events including the summer balls.
New Pictures Added
The site has now been updated with numerous pictures from previous events. Due to difficult lighting conditions it is always difficult to capture great pictures from events. However one of our targets for 2010 is to take more pictures at each of our events allowing us to demonstrate to our clients exactly what we can offer.
